Samsung Galaxy S23 FE set for 2023 release, rumors suggest

Samsung fans may have been disappointed to learn that the Samsung Galaxy S22 FE was not released last year, but there is now growing speculation that the Fan Edition line will make a comeback with the Samsung Galaxy S23 FE. According to SamMobile, the device is expected to launch in the fourth quarter of 2023 and will be powered exclusively by the Exynos 2200 processor, which is different from the Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 chip that is used in the main Samsung Galaxy S23 line.

The Galaxy S23 FE is rumored to come with a 50MP main camera lens on the back, similar to the standard S23 model, and will be available in 128GB or 256GB of internal storage. The device is also expected to have 6GB or 8GB of RAM and a 4,500mAh capacity battery.

If Samsung does release the Galaxy S23 FE, it will be nearly two years since the last FE phone, and the device’s success (or lack thereof) will likely determine whether or not Samsung continues to release FE devices. The FE series is popular because it offers some of the flagship features at a lower price point. The best mid-range phones provide an attractive compromise between premium and budget.

The Samsung Galaxy S23 FE needs to find a balance between these two categories by making smart decisions about the specifications. Samsung needs to ensure that the camera takes good pictures and videos, while also considering the price point. The Galaxy S23 FE should follow the same approach as the Google Pixel 6a, which offers a select number of trade-offs and a price point that is substantially less than what you would pay for a flagship device. Samsung’s success in balancing features and pricing will determine whether the Galaxy S23 FE becomes the next successful mid-range device.
