Samsung appears to be working on an upgraded version of its Galaxy Buds 2 earbuds, as indicated by a new model number: SM-R400N. These new earbuds are expected to sit between the Galaxy Buds 2 and the Galaxy Buds 2 Pro in Samsung’s product lineup.
While specific details about the upgrades are not confirmed, it’s speculated that the improvements may focus on better noise cancellation, addressing weaknesses such as water resistance (the current model has an IPX2 rating), and potentially enhancing the frequency response for audio quality.
Samsung typically unveils new earbud models alongside its smartphone launches, so these upgraded earbuds could be introduced alongside the Samsung Galaxy S24 series in early 2024 or potentially with the Galaxy S23 FE launch by the end of 2023.
