Helmut Marko, Red Bull’s senior advisor, hinted at the possibility of a Formula 1 promotion for Lawson while discussing potential replacements for Nyck de Vries. Marko dismissed the idea of Daniel Ricciardo returning to the team and suggested that if a change were to occur, Red Bull would turn to its pool of young talent, specifically mentioning Lawson and Ayumu Iwasa.
If Lawson were to secure a Formula 1 seat with Red Bull, he would join the ranks of 14 academy graduates who have progressed to Toro Rosso/AlphaTauri. Of those 14 drivers, seven ultimately advanced to Red Bull Racing, with Sebastian Vettel, Daniel Ricciardo, and Max Verstappen being the standout success stories.
