Trophies and comparable accolades are now commonplace for most games, but they were not always so. The Trophy system debuted in 2008 for the PlayStation 3, although it didn’t even include Platinum Trophies right away. They first appeared in Uncharted: Drake’s Fortune, and initially resembled a pink crown with platinized metallic pieces. Not all PS3 titles supported Trophies, but beginning in 2009, they became a required feature, and the Platinum Trophy evolved into its present form.
