Beat Saber is a popular fixture in the VR landscape despite over four years on the market and lots of competition from newer games, thanks to simple gameplay, a high skill ceiling, and plenty of officials and community support. While it has been playable on the original PS VR since its debut, Meta’s acquisition of developer Beat Games in 2019 raised the issue of whether the game will ever be released on Sony’s future VR headset, or whether further releases would be limited to the former Facebook’s line of Meta Quest devices.
