Possible Leak: World of Warcraft Accidentally Reveals Dragonflight 10.2 Zone in Latest Update

World of Warcraft may have just recently released Patch 10.1, but gamers may already know where Patch 10.2 will take place. This finding was made possible by a new picture discovered in the Public Test Realm for World of Warcraft’s impending Patch 10.1 content upgrade.

Embers of Neltharion is the first major content update for the Dragonflight expansion in World of Warcraft. The first builds of the new black dragon-themed zone are now accessible for testing on the World of Warcraft PTR, which means that many of its files are now open for players to explore in their quest for Dragonflight clues and mysteries.

While participants investigated these files, one asset in particular piqued their interest. The files from 10.1 included an icon for a new weapon look dubbed “Glaive 1h Emerald Dream Outdoor.” This naming system is identical to the new gear players may gain in Embers of Neltharion via outdoor activities. Given that Zaralek Cavern in Embers of Neltharion is a “Black Dragon Outdoor” zone, it is feasible that this item may be obtained via “Emerald Dream Outdoor” activities in a zone coming in 10.2. This notion about Dragonflight’s future has some validity.

In World of Warcraft, the Green Dragonflight has strong links to the Emerald Dream, and their tale is inextricably linked to it. Nevertheless, the new World Tree seed is now secure in the Emerald Dream, and some evidence indicates that World of Warcraft may be planting it at the Dragon Isles. All things considered, a new patch and zone devoted to the Green Dragonflight and the Emerald Dream would be appropriate.

But, this new item is far from proof of World of Warcraft’s next zone. The naming convention is ambiguous, and it might simply relate to the new item’s Green Dragon-inspired design. Gamers won’t know for sure until World of Warcraft makes an official statement.

Players may anticipate Patch 10.1 in May and Patch 10.2 in late October or November, based on World of Warcraft’s release cycle since Dragonflight. To that end, the name and zone for Patch 10.2 will most likely be revealed in August or September. Until then, gamers with sharp eyes will have to keep looking for further evidence pointing to an Emerald Dream-themed zone in 10.2. Fortunately, World of Warcraft players have four more content upgrades between now and then, so they should have enough to keep them occupied in the interim.
