Porsche has introduced the electric version of its Cayenne SUV. This model, called the Cayenne Electric, features a turbocharged electric motor setup. The company unveiled the vehicle during an event in Berlin, Germany, on November 20, 2025. The Cayenne Electric comes in two main variants: one with a single motor and another with dual motors for better performance.
The base model has a single electric motor that produces 402 horsepower. It reaches 0 to 100 kilometers per hour in 5.3 seconds. The top speed stands at 220 kilometers per hour. This variant uses a 95-kilowatt-hour battery pack. The range on a single charge reaches up to 540 kilometers under the WLTP test cycle. The WLTP standard measures fuel efficiency and emissions in a lab setting to simulate real-world driving conditions.
The dual-motor version, known as the Cayenne Electric Turbo, delivers 639 horsepower. It accelerates from 0 to 100 kilometers per hour in just 3.3 seconds. The top speed increases to 260 kilometers per hour. It also uses the same 95-kilowatt-hour battery, offering a range of 485 kilometers on WLTP. Both models support fast charging. They can add up to 200 kilometers of range in 10 minutes using a 350-kilowatt DC charger. Full charging from 10% to 80% takes about 21 minutes for the base model and 22 minutes for the Turbo.
Porsche designed the Cayenne Electric on the Premium Platform Electric, which the company shares with other models like the Taycan sedan. This platform includes an 800-volt architecture for efficient charging. The battery placement keeps the weight low and centered, improving handling. The SUV measures 4,931 millimeters long, 1,983 millimeters wide, and 1,718 millimeters tall. The wheelbase spans 2,900 millimeters. This size makes it similar to the gas-powered Cayenne.
Inside, the cabin features digital displays and premium materials. The dashboard has a 12.6-inch instrument cluster and a 12.3-inch touchscreen for the infotainment system. A central 10.9-inch display controls climate settings. Porsche includes options like a head-up display and augmented reality navigation. The seats offer heating, ventilation, and massage functions in higher trims. Cargo space totals 772 liters with seats up and 1,708 liters with them folded.
The Cayenne Electric Turbo stands out with performance features. It includes launch control for quick starts and adaptive air suspension for a smooth ride. The system adjusts height by up to 60 millimeters based on speed and road conditions. Torque vectoring helps in corners by distributing power to individual wheels. This setup provides stability during high-speed driving.
Porsche plans to produce the Cayenne Electric at its Leipzig plant in Germany. The facility already builds gas and hybrid Cayennes. The electric model will join the lineup starting in early 2026. Deliveries begin in the second quarter of that year. The company expects strong demand from markets in Europe, North America, and Asia.
Pricing starts at around 83,000 euros for the base single-motor version. The Turbo variant costs about 105,000 euros. These figures apply to the European market. In the United States, the base model will start at $89,000, while the Turbo reaches $110,000. Prices include standard equipment but exclude taxes and options. Porsche offers financing and leasing deals through its dealers.
