PlayStation Plus Subscribers Rejoice: PS5 Launch Title ‘Sackboy: A Big Adventure’ Available for Free in April

Sony Interactive Entertainment has made Sackboy: A Big Adventure, the PS5 launch title, available for free to all PlayStation Plus members between April 4th and May 1st. This move is sure to excite those who were curious about the game but may have been hesitant to purchase it when it was released alongside titles like Demon’s Souls or Miles Morales. Additionally, the game is also available on PS4.

Sackboy: A Big Adventure is a 3D platformer that features its titular hero’s acrobatics. While it is a spinoff of the LittleBigPlanet franchise, it is different from the core series as it does not revolve around environment interaction and creativity. However, the game maintains the co-op feature, which allows up to four players to tackle stages together. Some segments require teamwork to progress, making it an ideal game to play with children.

For those who may not be interested in Sackboy: A Big Adventure, there are other options available for free on PS Plus this April. The newly launched build-and-raid game Meet Your Maker and the hand-drawn RPG Tails of Iron are both available for PS4 and PS5 users.

Although these new offerings may not make PS Plus Extra or Premium subscribers regret their subscription, it is a nice addition to their libraries. Those who pay for those tiers recently received high-profile games like Uncharted: Legacy of Thieves Collection and Tchia. The availability of Sackboy: A Big Adventure for free is a great opportunity for PlayStation Plus subscribers to add one more marquee title to their library with minimal effort.
