Building on the camera upgrades we discussed last week, leaker Kamila Wojciechowska reveals that the Pixel 8 Pro will boast a 6.7-inch OLED panel sourced from Samsung. The display will offer a resolution of 1,344 x 2,992 and a pixel density of 490 PPI. While slightly smaller than the current Pixel 7 Pro’s curved display, which measures 6.71 inches with a resolution of 1,440 x 3,120 and a pixel density of 512 PPI, the Pixel 8 Pro’s screen is expected to provide significantly improved brightness. It will reach 1,600 nits of peak brightness when displaying HDR content, compared to the Pixel 7 Pro’s 1,000 nits. The 120Hz panel will also offer smoother transitions between refresh rates.
