In Tokyo, a fresh crew of Phantom Thieves will be robbing people blind. A new mobile game set in the Persona 5 universe has been announced by Black Wings Game Studio, a developer that is a part of the Chinese corporation Perfect World Games. The original gang is included in the two spinoffs of the game, Persona 5 Strikers and Dancing in Starlight, but this one has a whole new cast. Persona: Phantom of the Night (also known as Persona 5: The Phantom X or P5X) obtained SEGA’s approval even though it wasn’t made by Atlus. Additionally, P-Studio, the group behind the mainline Persona games, oversaw its development.
A brown-haired girl who is evocative of Chie from P4 and a talking owl who, like Morgana, can turn into a getaway car are among the characters we have seen in the game’s videos so far. The heroine has red hair and balances high school life and Metaverse theft. Additionally, the creator has made character art available for Igor’s new assistant in the Velvet Room and another female character with long black hair.
The game’s protagonist and exclusive Persona were designed by franchise character designer Shigenori Soejima, according to the game’s announcement. You can see that Black Wings did a good job at re-creating the look and feel of the original Persona 5 game by watching the trailer down below. It has the same win close-ups, gameplay, battle effects, and well-known P5 fight song Wake Up, Get up, Get Out There.
P5X, which will be free to play unlike the original Persona 5 game, will feature in-app purchases. Starting on March 29th, it will be made accessible to beta testers on Android, iOS, and Windows (as a port), but only in China. If it will be made available outside of the area has not yet been confirmed by the developer.
