A Glimpse into Overwatch 2’s Future
BlizzCon 2023 stirred excitement among Overwatch 2 fans by offering a sneak peek at what lies ahead, including a tantalizing early look at the upcoming Damage hero, Venture. While it may be a few months before players can fully embrace Venture’s gameplay, this new character promises to bring a fresh and potentially game-changing dynamic to Overwatch 2.
The Overwatch 2 Deep Dive at BlizzCon 2023 was brimming with revelations about the game’s future. Notable highlights included Battle Pass themes inspired by Egyptian Mythology and a mirror universe, the return of Hanamura via the upcoming Clash game mode, and a limited time trial period for Mauga, the latest hero to join the ranks. However, the Blizzard team didn’t stop there. They provided a glimpse into the future by teasing the next two heroes in development. While Season 12’s Support hero, currently codenamed “Space Ranger,” is still in the early stages of development, Venture is further along in the pipeline.
