OnePlus has developed a bit of a reputation of showing off their newest products a few days before the official launch. It’s like they themselves can’t be patients until the launch date. Now, the much awaited device, the OnePlus 12 has broken cover ahead of its launch, and this time, there are images as well as a video showing off the device in its full glory.
The company took to their Weibo page and shared multiple images highlighting the design and colours of the OnePlus 12. At first glance, you can see that the OnePlus 12 looks a lot like its predecessor, the OnePlus 11, with one minor change. The camera island now has the same colour as the rest of the device. The back of the device is covered by glass underneath which, you will see the coloured panel responsible for the attractive appearance of the device.
The OnePlus 12 will be available in three colour options – A glossy white, matte black, and a marble green. This was confirmed by the company earlier and its good to see that the reveal matches the update. There could be limited editions, but they will be released at a later date.
While the front of the device cannot be seen in the material, one of the visible changes that we could see is that the alert slider has been moved from the right edge to the left hand side, much like Apple’s action button. OnePlus claims that this change was made because apparently, the new position is optimal for when users are gaming.
In a separate announcement, OnePlus confirmed that their new device will be launching in China on the 5th of December, 2023, with an international launch early next year. The brand is celebrating 10 years, and the OnePlus 12 will be the highlight of the celebrations.
