The speculation began when eagle-eyed tech enthusiasts, particularly the well-known hardware leaker on X (formerly Twitter), MEGAsizeGPU, floated the possibility of not one but two fresh iterations of the RTX 4070.
The first rumor suggests a modest update to the current RTX 4070, involving the use of GDDR6 video RAM instead of the newer GDDR6X modules. While this might appear as a minor change, it represents a strategic decision aimed at optimizing performance and cost-efficiency.
