Users on Reddit and the Linus Tech Tips forum were among the first to notice and describe the problem. The problem was introduced in a recent Discord version that included support for the AV1 codec. Users of the RTX 40 series may now broadcast their gaming at up to 4K and 60 frames per second through Discord Nitro using the new codec. RTX 40 series GPUs did not seem to be affected by the problem. Nonetheless, NVIDIA swiftly recognised the problem and provided a temporary solution.
