‘No Man’s Sky’ Interceptor update adds new ships, corrupt worlds and VR improvements

Hello Games, the developer of No Man’s Sky, has released a new update for the game called Interceptor. The update not only brings new virtual reality (VR) features but also expands the game’s lore and introduces new experiences. In this latest free update, a new corruption has spread throughout the universe, infecting planets until they turn into purple-hazed worlds with purple crystals and new enemies.

Players will face off against new lethal antagonists armed with stealth tech, flamethrowers, and explosives. They may also come across huge Sentinel capital ships that provide them with a challenging bout of space combat. The update also provides players access to a variety of new Starships, equipped with new features like the Anti-Gravity Well.

The update also brings improved visuals and new features for virtual reality, including wrist interface controls. Additionally, Interceptor comes with Xbox-focused improvements that provide a smooth and consistent frame rate for visually complex scenes while playing on the console.

Hello Games released an update for No Man’s Sky in February that overhauled the game’s VR experience on all platforms. The developer has continued to expand and improve the game, which initially launched to mixed reviews but has since evolved into a popular space exploration game with an active fan base.
