The UAE -based esports organisation NASR ESPORTS has picked up three title awards at the Global DashFight Awards, marking the latest success in the development of the UAE’s esports industry.
NASR ESPORTS’ Fighting Game Community (FGC) division picked up ‘FGC Team of the Year’, with its world champion player, Angry Bird, winning ‘Player of the Year’ and ‘Match of the Year’. These wins showcase the world-class gaming talent based in Abu Dhabi, both from the perspective of the emirate’s esports stars and the quality of the teams behind the scenes.
The annual DashFight awards are one of the fighting game community’s top accolades and are decided upon by a team of expert judges and fighting game fans across the world, with a 40% and 60% weighting respectively.
NASR is a member of AD Gaming, the government-led initiative to grow Abu Dhabi’s thriving gaming industry.
