Metroid Prime Remastered Launches Today on Switch with Dual-Stick Control Features

Nintendo has announced the release of a remastered version of the classic game, “Metroid Prime,” for the Nintendo Switch. The remastered version, titled “Metroid Prime Remastered,” features improved graphics and new dual-stick controls that are designed to be more intuitive for players. In addition to the new controls, players can also choose from a variety of control options, including a GameCube-like scheme.

The “Metroid Prime Remastered” is available for purchase in digital form through the Nintendo eShop for $40. For those who prefer physical copies, the game will be available on February 22nd.

While the release of “Metroid Prime Remastered” is exciting for fans, it is important to note that this is not the highly-anticipated “Metroid Prime 4.” There is also no news yet on whether the other “Prime” games will receive remastered versions. At present, the only way to continue playing as Samus Aran in the Switch platform is through “Metroid Dread.”

This new release marks the first time a first-person shooter version of the “Metroid” franchise is available on a handheld console, making it an ideal choice for those who want more than just 2D platformers on their daily commute.
