Ever since VR headsets became a reality and went through some generational improvements, one of the fantasies that almost every gamers had was to play the role of a sniper in virtual reality. We all love sniping enemies from the rooftop of a building, but so far, it was limited to smartphones or consoles. Sniper Elite, one of the best sniper games out there, has announced that they will be bringing their hit game to the Meta Quest 2,3, and Pro models.
The plot for the game will remain consistent with the console versions. The story is set in Southern Italy 1943, where the fascist forces have occupied your homeland, and it is up to you and your trusy rifle to liberate your home. You will have access to an arsenal of weapons and items that you can utilise in your mission. The Sniper Elite game was released in 2021, but a new trailer for the VR version hints at better in-game graphics and a rich and immersive experience.
The game was subject to some criticism due to sporadic crashes in Chapter 2 as well as some problems in weapon handling. However, we expect to see these problems being ironed out in subsequent patches. Coming to the minimum requirements, the game calls for a minimum 8GB RAM and at least an NVIDIA GTX 1060 or an AMD Radeon RX 480. These specs are not exactly heavy, but keep in mind, that you will need to use a Quest VR device only.
The game will be available with 18 playable missions, guaranteeing hours of engaging gameplay and fascist killing action.
