With the release of iOS 17, all AirPods Pro (2nd generation) users can access a range of new audio experiences:
- Adaptive Audio: This innovative listening mode dynamically blends Transparency mode and Active Noise Cancellation, adjusting noise control based on your environment. Stay aware of your surroundings while keeping distracting noises at bay.
- Conversation Awareness: When you start speaking to someone nearby, Conversation Awareness kicks in. It lowers audio content volume, enhances nearby voices, and reduces background noise – perfect for quick chats or ordering at a cafe.
- Personalized Volume: Using machine learning, Personalized Volume fine-tunes your listening experience based on your preferences and environmental conditions.
Better for the Environment
Apple has designed the new AirPods Pro with sustainability in mind. They incorporate recycled rare earth elements in their magnets, recycled gold in circuit boards, and recycled tin in the solder of the main logic board. The earbuds and their case use recycled aluminum in their construction, and they are free of harmful substances like mercury, PVC, and beryllium.
The packaging has also been redesigned to reduce environmental impact, eliminating the outer plastic wrap and using fiber-based materials for over 90 percent of the packaging. This aligns with Apple’s commitment to removing plastic from all packaging by 2025.
