The Samsung Galaxy Z Flip 5 is set to be launched in about a week, and leaked images suggest that the phone’s cover screen will be a significant highlight. The leaked images, shared by renowned leaker Roland Quandt, show official marketing images of the phone’s cover screen displaying various functionalities.
The expanded cover screen on the Galaxy Z Flip 5 appears to offer more functionality compared to its predecessor, the Samsung Galaxy Z Flip 4. The leaked images show seven different things on the cover screen, including a photo, a flight boarding pass, a weather app, a calendar, a call log, a battery widget with a custom photo, and the ability to reply to messages.
Although the cover screen on the Galaxy Z Flip 5 seems to offer more utility, it’s likely that users will still be dealing with widgets and simplified interactions, rather than having full access to all the features of the phone.
Additionally, the leaked images also show the Samsung Galaxy Z Flip 5 folded flat, with seemingly zero gap between the two halves. This improvement would be a notable upgrade from the current model.
In terms of specifications, the Galaxy Z Flip 5 is expected to feature a new chipset, though this cannot be seen in the leaked images.
Samsung is set to unveil the Galaxy Z Flip 5 on July 26, alongside other devices such as the Samsung Galaxy Z Fold 5, the Samsung Galaxy Tab S9 line, and the Samsung Galaxy Watch 6. The event is expected to be a significant moment for Samsung fans and those interested in foldable phones.
