Kneazle Magical Beast Showcased in Hogwarts Legacy

The Kneazle, one of the magical animals players may engage with in Hogwarts Legacy, was introduced today. Many magical monsters are set to emerge in Hogwarts Legacy, some of which are previously known creatures in the Harry Potter world, but other brand-new ones designed by Avalanche Software will also be included.

So far, fans may have identified a few magical creatures that have previously been shown in Hogwarts Legacy videos or gameplays. The list isn’t very long yet, but dragons, centaurs, trolls, nifflers, and mooncalves have already been shown off. Avalanche Software has promised much more, and it seems that it is beginning to reveal what more magical animals may lurk in and around Hogwarts.

A brief video of the Kneazle was uploaded today on the Hogwarts Legacy Twitter feed. Kneazles have previously been featured in several Harry Potter media. They initially debuted in Harry Potter and the Prisoner of Azkaban, but they have also appeared in other Harry Potter video and mobile games. Most of these releases have given them a somewhat different appearance, and it’s conceivable that there may be other sorts of Kneazle to meet, but for now, the one in the video looks the most like a Persian cat. The Kneazle is resting on the ground in the video, purring and washing while some valuable information shows on the screen. The book describes a Kneazle’s overall look and character, as well as its valuable traits, such as being “very clever and can identify suspicious or distrustful individuals.”

The ability for users to own pets has not yet been officially confirmed by Avalanche Software, but based on Kneazle’s description, it seems like the pet may be a very helpful ally for the player character. Avalanche Software has been fairly liberal with information, especially when it comes to petting animals in Hogwarts Legacy, but there are certain aspects that it has kept very well under wraps. There are no doubt many fans who would be thrilled to be able to return to their dorm room and spend time with their pets, even if they wouldn’t be able to take them on travels. However, when it comes to pets, fans are still mostly in the dark.

Only three days ago, the Hogwarts Legacy Twitter feed produced a similar video about the Hippogriff. It seems like a safe bet that additional videos in this vein will be released in the future, exposing more of the fascinating animals Hogwarts Legacy has to offer its admirers.
