Kawasaki India has teased the launch of an updated version of its most affordable model, the W175, on December 8 at India Bike Week.
As per exclusive reports, the changes on the new W175 are expected to be restricted to cosmetic updates like new color options and rim stripes. Mechanically, it is likely to remain the same barring the addition of tubeless tyres noticeable from the alloy wheels in the teaser image.
Priced between Rs 1.47-1.49 lakhs currently, Kawasaki is unlikely to increase the price significantly given the W175’s slow sales so far. The model is Kawasaki’s first Made-in-India motorcycle.
Separately, Kawasaki has announced discounts for December 2022 on select models like the Versys 650 (Rs 20,000 off), Ninja 650 (Rs 30,000 off), Ninja 400 (Rs 35,000 off) and Vulcan S (Rs 60,000 off). The offers are applicable till stock lasts for the month.
The imminent launch of the cosmetically refreshed W175 and the December discounts aim to boost Kawasaki’s sales in the Indian market as competition continues to intensify. More details on the new W175 are expected at its unveiling on December 8.
