The majority of rechargeable wireless mice allow you to plug them in and use them while they charge. However, Apple is adamantly opposed to placing a charging port somewhere else than beneath the Magic Mouse. The business has demonstrated a willingness to correct many of its other weird design errors — for example, the updated Apple Pencil does not require charging via a Lightning port, and the new Apple TV Siri Remote replaced the previous touchpad with a scroll wheel and a click pad.
