iPhone SE 4 Leaked Renders: A Budget Model with Premium iPhone 14 Styling?

New leaked renders are giving us an early glimpse at what could be the design of Apple’s next affordable iPhone, the iPhone SE 4. If these images prove accurate, the upcoming budget model will borrow heavily from the premium iPhone 14’s modern styling.

The renders, claimed to be based on industry leaks, depict an iPhone SE 4 that has ditched the chunky bezels of past SE models. Instead, it sports a sleek design with a slim notch at the top – just like the iPhone 14 series. This notch would presumably house the Face ID sensors and front camera.

Additionally, the leaked images suggest the iPhone SE 4’s display could grow significantly to around 6.1 inches, matching the iPhone 14’s screen size. The overall dimensions also appear very similar, though the renders show a single rear camera lens rather than a multi-cam setup.

Around front, the design renderings reveal another big change – the expected switch from Lightning to USB-C for charging and data transfer. This lines up with leaks that the entire iPhone 15 lineup, including the SE 4, will make the industry-standard USB-C move.

Overall, these renders paint the picture of an iPhone SE 4 that essentially looks like a repackaged iPhone 14, but more affordable by cutting some corners like offering just one main camera. It seems Apple may be positioning its next budget model as a lower-cost way to get a fairly modern iPhone experience.

However, some other rumored iPhone SE 4 features like a Dynamic Island cutout and programmable Action button are noticeably absent from these design leaks. With the phone’s release potentially over a year away, reports remain mixed on what premium features may or may not trickle down to Apple’s cheapest 2024 iPhone offering.

For budget-conscious buyers, an iPhone 14-inspired design with USB-C charging could make the SE 4 an enticing option when it eventually arrives. But the final feature set and pricing will determine if it truly resets expectations for affordable iPhones moving forward.
