Owners of the iPhone 15 Pro Max have raised concerns about screen burn-in problems, and Apple has responded with a solution in the form of the upcoming iOS 17.1 software update. While our iPhone 15 Pro Max review did not reveal any screen issues, numerous users of the most expensive iPhone 15 model have reported issues related to screen burn-in.
As observed by MacRumors and other sources, the forthcoming software update explicitly mentions a fix for problems that “may cause display image persistence”, which is synonymous with screen burn-in. Although iOS 17.1 is not yet available for all users, it has been released to beta testers and developers.
