Zinsner’s statement at the conference carried significant weight: “We actually think 2024 is going to be a pretty good year for the client, in particular, because of the Windows refresh.” Intel’s acknowledgment implies that they have received information regarding the impending release of a new Windows version in the specified timeframe.
While the CFO’s comments shed light on the expected refresh of Windows, no official mention of the name has been made. The moniker ‘Windows refresh’ is undoubtedly a placeholder, and it’s unlikely to be the official title chosen by Microsoft for the successor to Windows 11.
