You can choose to make the Windows 10 PC update automatically, but only a reboot will make the installation final. Now, if you will not be using the PC, or you want undisturbed usage without update prompts, you can pause update for a week. Doing this will stop update notifications from popping up for a week, after which you can either keep them paused, or perform the update.
