Mastering the art of looting and killing in Diablo 4 is essential for those who wish to conquer the hauntingly gothic world of Sanctuary. To face the greatest challenges, upgrading your potions is crucial, and Crushed Beast Bones are a vital material for enhancing your Healing Potions. In this tutorial, we will guide you on how to acquire Crushed Beast Bones and upgrade your potions in Diablo 4.
Reaching level 30 is a significant milestone in your journey, as it unlocks the ability to upgrade your Healing Potion to its fourth tier using Crushed Beast Bones. Given the importance of these potions, it is almost mandatory for Diablo 4 players to undertake this step. Failing to enhance your potions can result in letting your team down in multiplayer battles. Let’s delve into the details and discover where to find Crushed Beast Bones and how to upgrade your Healing Potions.
Crushed Beast Bones can be obtained by killing beasts, animals, and werecreatures, as mentioned in the tooltip. However, locating these specific enemy types can be challenging. Fortunately, there are two dungeon bosses that guarantee drops of Crushed Beast Bones upon their defeat.
Gaspar Stilbain and Blind Odwyn are the two bosses you need to target. Gaspar is the easier of the two, although he is still a level 35 opponent, making him a challenging quarry for weaker characters.
To find Gaspar Stillbain, head to the Whispering Pines dungeon located in Scosglen. The Whispering Pines can be found in the Eastern corner of the Highland Wilds. Once you arrive, travel North-West until you reach an area called The Scar. Stick to the Northern wall, and you will encounter Gaspar in no time.
Gaspar is relatively easy to defeat and drops five Crushed Beast Bones each time you defeat him. Additionally, he respawns every few minutes, making it possible to farm Crushed Beast Bones by continuously defeating him. Gaspar also drops a rare set of gloves called the Outcast’s Handwraps, which provide extra ranks in Incinerate, a valuable asset for Sorceresses specializing in Fire magic.
If you seek a more challenging encounter, Blind Odwyn is your target. Like Gaspar, Odwyn can be found in Scosglen, specifically in The Shrouded Moors, in an area called The Blood Vale.
The Blood Vale is situated to the East of the Tirmair Waypoint and is identifiable on the map by red pock marks. Once you arrive, head to the South-West corner, where you will encounter Odwyn, a formidable demon summoner.
Blind Odwyn poses a greater challenge than Gaspar but rewards you with five Crushed Beast Bones upon each defeat.
By facing these bosses, Gaspar Stillbain and Blind Odwyn, you can ensure a steady supply of Crushed Beast Bones for upgrading your Healing Potions in Diablo 4. Remember, Gaspar is a more accessible option for farming, while Odwyn provides a more challenging encounter. Choose the approach that suits your character’s capabilities and embark on a journey to acquire these crucial materials to enhance your potions in the dark and treacherous world of Sanctuary.
