How to disable pop ups on Android

When you talk about browsing the internet on your Android smartphone, the one thing that you definitely want to avoid is pop-ups. On PC, these browser pop-ups can easily be closed as they do not interrupt your current ongoing tasks, but when it comes to browsing on your smartphone, the pop-ups can place themselves across the home screen and put a full stop to your current operation in progress.

The best way to prevent these ads is to disable the pop-ups in your browser, which will not only remove pop-ups on your Android smartphone but also keep your device safe from potential malware that can be triggered by these pop-ups.

Let’s see how you can disable pop-ups on Android.

Tap to open the Chrome browser on your Android smartphone.

Tap on the ‘three-button icon on the top right-hand side.

Tap on the ‘Settings’ option from the drop-down menu.

Scroll down the menu and tap on the ‘Site Settings’ option

Now, tap on the ‘Pop-ups and redirects’ option.

Make sure the slider is in the ‘OFF’ position.

Exit the browser, clear the background apps, and then restart the browser and continue your browsing activity. Pop-ups will now be blocked by default and you will now stop seeing annoying pop-up ads and clickbait tabs on your Android Home screen.
