Hithium product launch

Hithium Introduces AI Data Center Energy Storage Solution at RE+ 2025

Hithium, a prominent global provider of integrated energy storage products, officially launched its AI data center energy storage system (ESS) portfolio during the RE+ 2025 event in Las Vegas. The newly unveiled solutions, which include the ?Power 6.25MWh 8-hour long-duration battery energy storage system (BESS), the ?Power N2.28MWh 1-hour BESS, and an advanced lifespan assessment model for AI data center applications, address both the real-time power needs and reliability requirements of modern data centers. This marks a significant advancement in the implementation of long-duration energy storage technologies for the data center industry.

Data centers, particularly those supporting artificial intelligence workloads, require stable, reliable, and sustainable power to maintain both cost-efficiency and operational performance. As more data centers seek to increase their share of renewable energy to reduce emissions, they face the challenge of intermittency and rapid load fluctuations. Hithium’s new offerings are designed to address these specific demands by providing both long-duration storage for base loads and high-power BESS solutions for managing short-term surges.

The ?Power 6.25MWh 8-hour BESS provides the backbone for extended power supply, reducing auxiliary consumption and supporting the integration of renewable energy into the data center. Complementing this, the ?Power N2.28MWh 1-hour BESS, based on sodium-ion technology, is built to handle sudden surges and millisecond-level load fluctuations. This dual-technology approach allows data centers to efficiently meet both continuous and peak demand scenarios. Hithium’s solution also includes a dedicated lifetime assessment model designed for AI data centers, offering precise analysis of system degradation and ensuring a longer, more reliable project lifespan even under highly dynamic operational workloads.

In terms of operational impact, these solutions can significantly increase the utilization of renewable energy sources by smoothing out supply inconsistencies, lowering the overall levelized cost of electricity, and enhancing the efficiency and reliability of AI data center power systems. The ?Power N2.28MWh BESS is based on the ?Cell N162Ah, which delivers up to 20,000 cycles and provides stable, consistent performance even under rapid load changes.

Beyond the technology itself, Hithium supports its deployments with a “Local for Local” strategy and vertical integration. The company operates a 10GWh manufacturing facility in Texas, provides access to over 100 engineers and regional warehouses in the United States, and guarantees a 72-hour on-site response capability for rapid service and scalability. This infrastructure is designed to ensure both swift deployment and long-term reliability for AI data centers in North America and internationally.
