Haas Formula 1 Team Adopts Red Bull-Style Aerodynamic Approach in Bid for Improved Performance

Haas Unveils Significant Aerodynamic Upgrade Package to Revamp Performance in Formula 1

Haas Team Principal Guenther Steiner explained that the aerodynamic upgrade was born out of necessity. The team sought to revamp their performance, especially after encountering challenges in recent races. Steiner acknowledged that the changes made in accordance with the new regulations last year had not yielded the expected gains in performance.

The fundamental goal of the upgrades is to increase downforce and reduce drag. Haas has opted for what is commonly referred to as the “Red Bull concept” or the “downwash concept.” This approach aims to generate a higher level of downforce, which is vital for improving a Formula 1 car’s grip and cornering capabilities.
