Google’s Unintentional Reveal: The Pixel 8 Pro Breaks Cover

A marketing image of the Google Pixel 8 Pro was briefly displayed on the Google Store website, providing an early look at the upcoming smartphone. Although the image has been removed, it revealed the upper half of the phone’s back.

The design of the Pixel 8 Pro appears to be in line with previous Pixel models, featuring the distinctive Pixel camera visor on the rear. However, there are notable differences, with all camera lenses housed within a black cut-out on the visor, unlike the Pixel 7 Pro, which had two of its three lenses outside the visor. Additionally, an extra sensor can be seen next to the flash, believed to be a temperature sensor.

The alt text of the image indicates that one of the Pixel 8 Pro colors will be “Porcelain.” Other rumored color options include Jade, Licorice, and Sky. Although the exact color names may vary, these colors are expected to be part of the Pixel 8 Pro lineup.

While the accidental release of a promotional image suggests that the Pixel 8 series launch is approaching, Google typically unveils new models in early to mid-October. Therefore, it’s likely that we’ll get an official look at the Pixel 8 and Pixel 8 Pro in the coming weeks.
