Google Domains, a popular platform for domain registration and website building, will soon no longer be a part of Google’s business portfolio. Squarespace, a leading website development and hosting company, announced today that it will acquire approximately 10 million domains from Google. The transaction is expected to be finalized in the third quarter of 2023.
As part of the purchasing agreement, Squarespace has committed to honoring existing customer pricing for a minimum of 12 months following the completion of the acquisition. The company aims to ensure a seamless transfer of domains by utilizing Google’s infrastructure.
