Google Fiber will introduce 5-gigabit and 8-gigabit plans early next year

For a time, it appeared that Google Fiber was in trouble, especially after layoffs in 2016 and the decision to leave Louisville, Kentucky entirely. However, in August, the company announced major expansion plans, including plans to bring Fiber to states such as Nebraska, Nevada, and Idaho. Furthermore, the new speed tiers announced on Thursday expand on the 2Gbps offering that debuted in 2020.
