Three years after Google and security company ADT announced a collaboration to build Nest-integrated devices, we’re now seeing the results of that collaboration. ADT has released a DIY-friendly set of security solutions called ADT Self Setup, and each of these items is deeply integrated with the Google Nest platform.
Both businesses’ components are used in the ADT Self-Setup system. ADT has introduced a host of compatible devices, including door and window sensors, independent motion sensors, smoke detectors, temperature sensors, flood sensors, and an adjustable keypad. ADT will also soon include a keychain remote for even additional control choices.
All of these goods communicate with one another through a centralised hub that has a built-in keyboard, a siren, and a complete battery backup in the event of a power loss. Each of the aforementioned components is fully compatible with practically every Google Nest gadget, including the battery-powered Nest Doorbell, Nest Learning Thermostat, Nest WiFi Router, and several interior and outdoor cameras. Nest Hub Max smart screens are also supported.
