The FIA initiated an “expressions of interest” process for potential new Formula 1 teams earlier this year, followed by a formal application process. Andretti and Cadillac submitted their joint bid in May.
Warren stated that GM has been engaged in active discussions with the FIA regarding their bid and expects a decision on their advancement to the next stage soon.
“We’ve had some dialogue with the Formula 1 group earlier on,” Warren said. “But at this point in time, it’s a formal process, so we’ve got to let it run its course.”
