Meaning – The word demo, refers to the process of offering a demonstration of a product, program or even a presentation, to the concerned audience.
Usually, before any product release, the organisation conducts a demo session, where the presenter trial runs his whole deck in front of the employees, and takes all the feedback and constructive criticism, to prepare for the final show in front of the general public.
This term holds good in almost every kind of market, as people usually prefer to get a demo of what they are purchasing, before putting their money into the product. Generally, organisations offer demos for free, but there have been some rare cases, where people have been charged for experiencing a demo.
Example of usage – “After he the new software was ready, the company organised a blind demo session, to get initial reactions from general users and employees who were not part of developing the software.”
