Eufy’s latest wireless security camera, the EufyCam 3, boosts the resolution to 4K and has a built-in solar panel to prolong the camera’s year-long battery life even further. The camera’s biggest features, though, come from the new HomeBase 3 hub to which it wirelessly links. This version includes local video processing to give you an alert when it detects a person, pet, or vehicle, as well as face recognition to determine if it’s a stranger or a family member.
Another intriguing feature is the ability to expand the capacity to up to 16 TB of local storage through a hard drive port. This, according to Eufy, is enough for 60 years of motion-activated video footage, and also adds the capacity to record continuous video – a first for the Eufy ecosystem.
