The Epson UST projector utilizes 4K PRO-UHD2 technology with advanced pixel-shifting to produce intricate 4K images. It supports HDR10 and HLG high dynamic range content and boasts dual HDMI inputs, including one with eARC. The projector incorporates an Android TV 6 interface, enabling built-in streaming from popular platforms such as Amazon Prime Video, Hulu, Disney Plus, YouTube, and more. Additionally, users can conduct voice searches using the integrated Google Assistant.
UST projectors offer an all-in-one home cinema solution, and Epson addresses the audio aspect with a 2.1 virtual surround system designed in collaboration with Yamaha. The built-in speakers are elegantly enclosed by a new metal grille design, enhancing both visual aesthetics and audio quality compared to traditional fabric mesh grilles used by other UST projectors.
The Epson EpiqVision Ultra LS650 will be available in black or white color options. While pricing and availability for the US market are yet to be announced, the LS650 will retail in the UK for £2,299 (approximately $2,900 or AU$4,500), with shipments set to commence in October.
