After a year off, the Entertainment Software Association (ESA) and event organizer ReedPop confirmed on Monday that E3, the global gaming industry expo, will return from June 13th to June 16th. The event will return as a live event at the Los Angeles Convention Center, with dedicated days for industry delegates and gaming enthusiasts to visit the exhibition floor. E3 also intends to encourage digital gaming activities, which will begin on June 11th.
The “E3 Business Days” will take place from June 13th to June 15th. These days of the exhibition will be reserved solely for gaming industry participants to network, meet up, and play new games. According to a press release, the “E3 Gamer Days” are scheduled for the final two days of the exhibition, June 15th and 16th, when ordinary customers will be able to experience games and “meet with developers, content producers, media stars, and more.” There will be designated spaces for industrial and business participants, which may make it simpler to arrange meetings. If you’re curious, GamesIndustry.biz offers a few additional details on what guests may anticipate.
E3 did not take place in 2022. It was initially planned to be an online-only event, but it was ultimately canceled. Geoff Keighley’s Summer Game Fest, which included a trailer-packed digital showcase as well as an in-person event for journalists and influencers, filled the hole for gaming lovers.
Summer Game Fest will return in June as well, with both digital and in-person components. With both E3 and Summer Game Fest taking place next year, June is shaping up to be a flurry of gaming news and announcements.
