It’s highly uncommon for Dying Light’s community events to fail, but a similar incident occurred last year when the Dying Light 2 community fell well short of a target requiring players to investigate 7 million Hag tracks, with roughly 2.3 million completed worldwide. This might be because Dying Light 2’s Bloody Summer event was crushed in a few days, raising Techland’s hopes for the future. Meanwhile, at the same time, the original Dying Light conducted a popular community event that required players to knock 5 million zombies from roofs.
Techland could make advantage of this experience to create more achievable objectives for the next Dying Light 2 events, or possibly provide more alluring incentives to encourage players to reach larger totals. There will be plenty of additional possibilities for participants to fulfil future objectives as the new year begins.
