During the third quarter of 2022, Tesla delivered a record 343,830 automobiles

Tesla’s two-year string of record-breaking deliveries came to a stop last quarter when its Shanghai facility was forced to close due to the city’s COVID lockout limitations. The business supplied 254,695 automobiles at the time, the fewest since the third quarter of 2021. Tesla was able to ramp up production this quarter now that Shanghai is no longer under lockdown, and manufacturing at the new Gigafactories in Texas and Berlin has begun (despite a cardboard fire).

During last week’s AI Day event, Tesla said that 160,000 Tesla drivers now have access to its Full Self Driving beta, the driver-assist software that is the subject of two lawsuits. The California Department of Motor Vehicles and a Tesla owner both accuse the corporation of making false claims regarding the software’s self-driving capabilities.
