Prior companions and side characters have been presented by BioWare in previous publications, such as Cole, who was previously one of the primary characters of Dragon Age: Asunder, a book by David Gaider that dealt with events in Orlais not long before Dragon Age: Inquisition. As a result, any character readers meet in the comic could appear again as a companion in Dragon Age: Dreadwolf.
