Activision is bringing back dogs as companions in Call of Duty: Modern Warfare II and Warzone 2.0 with the introduction of Merlin the Dog. Players can now have Merlin as an optional companion in multiplayer, Battle Royale, and DMZ modes. Merlin not only provides companionship but also has devastating finishing moves. Activision emphasizes that these “tactical pets” cannot be harmed in the game and do not offer a competitive advantage.
Alongside Merlin, players can also enjoy the return of Snoop Dogg to the franchise. Snoop Dogg joins Nicki Minaj as a hip-hop operator in the game. Players can get the Snoop Dogg operator bundle, which includes two skins and allows them to play as the Long Beach rapper. The bundle comes with a loadout that features a “Toke Force 141” SMG, a “Snoop Hustle” finishing move, and a “High Rider” hatchback vehicle skin.
Season five of Call of Duty: Modern Warfare II and Warzone 2.0 is now available on all platforms, and players can enjoy the company of Merlin the Dog and the presence of Snoop Dogg with the new operator bundle. To access the canine companionship, players will need to get the BlackCell tier of Battle Pass, which costs $30.
