Devolver Digital, known for its unique approach to marketing games, has announced a “Devolver Delayed” event, a showcase celebrating games that are courageously moving their release dates to 2024. The event will poke fun at the common trend of game delays while also pushing back some of its own release dates.
The publisher has several intriguing games slated for the rest of 2023, including Skate Story and The Plucky Squire. Gunbrella, a gritty noir-punk action-adventure, will also be featured in the showcase and has not been delayed. However, the fate of other titles like Wizard with a Gun, The Talos Principle 2, and Pepper Grinder remains uncertain. Baby Steps, a game resembling a 3D version of QWOP with a man-baby protagonist, is already scheduled for a 2024 release. The Devolver Delayed event will be streamed on August 7th, 11 AM ET.
