Developers of Final Fantasy 16 hypes the power of PS5

The new teaser for Final Fantasy 16 was created on the PS5 in real-time, according to the game’s makers, who recently exaggerated the PS5’s capabilities. The announcement was made recently during a broadcast for another game since Final Fantasy 16 won’t be released for another seven months.

Final Fantasy 16 will be the first M-rated game in the mainline Final Fantasy series, announced after 2022 The Game Awards. The game’s classification was required in order to portray the tale that the creators wanted to tell since it had allusions to drug use, sexual themes, blood, and gore, as well as graphic images of mediaeval battle. The creators of Final Fantasy 16 have a history in emotional storytelling, thus there are a lot of expectations of them.

Naoki “Yoshi-P” Yoshida, the producer of Final Fantasy 16 as well as the director of Final Fantasy 14, appeared on Letter from the Producer Live Part 75 and revealed the Final Fantasy 16 Revenge trailer at the end of the programme. At The Game Awards earlier this month, Yoshida personally gave a presentation of the clip. Yoshida said that the Final Fantasy 16 Revenge video was created with real-time rendering and no load times during the Live Letter, which was initially centred on the release of Final Fantasy 14 Patch 6.3. It’s become a game like, “Look at the strength of the PS5”, Yoshida cried.

After that, Yoshida said that players will be allowed to rotate the camera during cutscenes and urged them to do so whenever Final Fantasy 16 was launched. A Chocobo was violently killed in the opening scene of the Final Fantasy 16 Revenge video, which also confirmed that the game’s main character, Clive Rosfield, would serve as the Dominant of the ferocious Eikon Ifrit. Clive and his allies Jill, Cid, and the wolf-like Torgal were seen escaping a monster ambush while the countries of Valisthea engaged in battle. The clip also revealed that Clive might pet Torgal for a fleeting moment of humour in Final Fantasy 16, at least. Players will have to wait to see how Clive and his younger brother Joshua’s storylines turn out because they are both Dominants for distinct fire-aligned Eikons in Ifrit and Phoenix, respectively.

It is unclear if Final Fantasy 16’s six-month PS5 exclusivity period would negatively affect the game’s sales. Although no PC version has been verified as of this writing, it is possible that the game may launch on PC in 2024 or at a later date.
