DeepCool Products Sold as “Shaking Tank” to Evade U.S. Sanctions

YouTuber Greg Salazar recently revealed on X that DeepCool products are still being sold in the U.S., but under a different name. The products now carry the “Shaking Tank” label, with the original DeepCool logos blurred out in the product images.

This comes two months after the U.S. State Department placed DeepCool on its sanctions list due to the company’s alleged business dealings with Russian firms involved in the Ukraine conflict. Reports suggest DeepCool supplied $1 million worth of goods to these companies, leading to a ban on their products in the U.S. market.

Despite the sanctions, online retailers like Amazon and Newegg continue to offer DeepCool products under the Shaking Tank branding. The vendor has digitally removed the DeepCool logos and names from product images. For instance, fan hubs that originally featured the DeepCool logo now display a blank space. Similarly, cardboard packaging that once displayed the brand’s logo has been blurred.

The rebranded items include models like the DeepCool AK620, now listed as the Shaking Tank AK620, and the DeepCool LS720, which has been rebranded as the Shaking Tank LS720.

It is unclear if DeepCool itself has officially rebranded as Shaking Tank. Such a move could carry significant legal risks. It’s possible that a reseller acquired the remaining DeepCool stock and is selling it under a different name to circumvent the sanctions. Another possibility is that a retailer is attempting to offload the unsellable DeepCool inventory that has been stuck on the shelves due to the ban.
