It seems that Chevrolet has made a mistake and accidentally leaked the 2024 Corvette E-Ray on its website. A visualizer featuring the new hybrid version of the iconic sports car was found by a member of the MidEngineCorvetteForum while they were playing with the configurator. While there are no official specifications available yet, the presence of quad exhausts confirms that the E-Ray is a hybrid. It is also noted that Chevrolet intends to have the car on sale in the summer of 2024, which suggests that an official reveal could take place in the first few months of 2023.
When it is officially unveiled, the E-Ray will reportedly come in three new paint options: Cacti, Riptide Blue Metallic, and Sea-Wolf Gray Tri-Coat. This leak adds to the credibility of previous rumours about the forthcoming hybrid version of the Corvette.
It looks like Chevrolet has accidentally leaked the 2024 Corvette E-Ray on its website, revealing the hybrid version of the popular sports car. The visualizer has since been taken down, but not before being captured by astute fans. The E-Ray features the wider hips of the Z06, with three new paint colours: Cacti, Riptide Blue Metallic, and Sea-Wolf Gray Tri-Coat. It’s expected to be available for purchase next summer, with an official reveal possibly occurring in the first half of 2023.
While there are no official specs available yet, the E-Ray is believed to have an all-wheel drive with a V8 engine powering the rear wheels and electric motor(s) at the front. It will serve as a replacement for the Grand Sport, with a purely electric model to follow in the future.
