ChatGPT Expands to 11 New Countries

OpenAI’s ChatGPT iOS app, which was initially launched in the United States in mid-May, has now expanded its availability to 11 additional countries. OpenAI has fulfilled its promise to reach more users by making the app accessible in Albania, Croatia, France, Germany, Ireland, Jamaica, Korea, New Zealand, Nicaragua, Nigeria, and the UK. This global expansion demonstrates OpenAI’s commitment to bringing its conversational AI technology to users worldwide.

The ChatGPT app offers a familiar experience, mirroring the functionality and appearance of the website. Users can seamlessly sync their conversation history between their computer and iPhone, ensuring continuity across devices. Subscribers to ChatGPT Plus, OpenAI’s subscription plan, gain the added benefit of accessing GPT-4 through the app, enabling faster responses. Notably, the app introduces a new feature: voice input through OpenAI’s Whisper speech recognition. However, it is currently optimized for iPhones, leaving iPad users still reliant on the desktop version.
