Capcom, the renowned Japanese video game developer, has recently provided a tantalizing glimpse of their upcoming title, Kunitsu-Gami: Path of the Goddess. The game, revealed during the Summer Game Fest’s Xbox Showcase, showcases a captivating Japanese folklore theme and aesthetic. Building upon this initial announcement, Capcom has now confirmed that the highly anticipated single-player action RPG will be released not only for Xbox Series X|S and Xbox Game Pass but also for PlayStation 5, Windows PCs, and Steam.
Kunitsu-Gami invites players into a world where a sacred mountain has been desecrated, resulting in a physical manifestation of blight that spreads across the land. This blight has attracted malevolent creatures known as the Seethe, and players will assume the role of a courageous warrior tasked with vanquishing these formidable foes. Only by triumphing over the Seethe can the path be cleared for the Spirit Stone Maiden to perform the rite of cleansing, thereby restoring the lands to their former glory.
